AGE DIVISION DEFINITIONS FOR 2009-2010


Once a player participates in a club or varsity program for any university, college, community college, or junior college, he is ineligible to play in any regional or national JOVC qualifying and championship events.


Junior Boys


14 and under division
Regionally waived boys teams in the 14 and under age group will be allowed to participate at the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships using the following age/grade definition:

Players who were born on or after September 1st, 1995, or players who were born on or after September 1st, 1994 (15 years or younger) who shall neither have completed nor are in a grade higher than the eighth (8th) grade during the current academic year.

Check the tournament entry booklets for the USA Volleyball Junior National Boys' and Girls' Championship events for complete eligibility rules for the 2010 Championships. The Age Definitions will also be posted on the Junior section of the USAV website at www.usavolleyball.org.

Note: These age definitions are used for domestic club programs and are not the same as the age definitions for the International and/or Domestic High Performance programs for 2009.
